In selecting members of the Interview panel or search committee, include
members from the Duke community who represent the overall diversity of the
organization, who come from various groups (faculty, staff, students, etc), and
who represent and demonstrate Duke's Guiding Principles. A confirmation letter
is the first step in communicating and setting expectations. Be sure to
include a copy of the charge and job description and define the scope of the
involvement of the committee or panel members.
