Mentee Responsibilities

Before you and your Mentor finalized your Mentoring Agreement, identify and share with your Mentor those responsibilities you propose to be accountable for to insure the maximum benefit of your mentoring relationship.

Determine my learning and developmental needs

Share my goals and needs with my mentor

Follow through on commitments

Mutually set realistic expectations for the relationship

Share successes and failures

Explore options with my mentor

Invest in making this a productive relationship for both

Search for ways to achieve my learning and developmental needs

Be open to my Mentor’s guidance and ideas

Determine an appropriate meeting schedule

Commit to a "no fault" relationship

Openly receive critical feedback
