Objectives:
This workshop prepares the participant to be commissioned as a Notary Public for the State of North Carolina and fulfills the mandatory classroom instruction requirement. Read about restrictions by clicking the title above. The textbook is included at no extra charge.
Please bring a government-issued photo ID with you—federal or State of North Carolina—so that your Notary Public application may be notarized at the end of the class.
Objectives:
- learn the history, powers and limitations, purpose, and process of becoming a Notary Public
- learn to take acknowledgements (certify signatures)
- learn to take proofs of execution
- learn to administer oaths
- learn to take affidavits
