Presented by HR/ Staff & Family Programs. Maintaining a motivated and engaged workforce is a key management challenge. We will review the latest research on strategies for fostering and sustaining invested and happy employees. Objectives:

• learn what really motivates adults to want to do a good job
• discover how some external rewards meant to drive performance can actually be counter-productive
• learn about the connections between a happy and relaxed state of mind and our ability to think creatively and problem solve
• examine some common workplace practices used by well-intentioned managers which actually de-motivate and disengage employees
• learn how to create a happy work place that taps into the intrinsic motivations of your people and drives high performance
• explore tools to enhance productivity and engagement

This course is designed for people with responsibility for direct supervision of other staff.
