Do you Know Outstanding Employees?
Do you know employees who deserve something extra for the outstanding job they do each day? Consider nominating them for the annual
Duke Presidential Awards, the
highest and most prestigious honor that Duke University and Health System
personnel can receive.
Each year, 24 staff members are selected for this prestigious award. One Presidential Award and five Meritorious Service Awards are selected each year from across the University and Health System in each of four categories:
- Clerical/Office Support (formerly Office/Clerical)
- Staff Specialists, Office Assistants, etc.
- Clinical/Professional Non-Managerial (formerly Technical/Paraprofessional)
- Lab Technicians, Nurses, Coordinators, clinical or professional personnel in a non-managerial capacity
- Service/Maintenance (formerly Service/Skilled Crafts)
- EVS, Facilities, service positions
- Managerial (formerly Administrative/Professional)
- Exempt, supervisory personnel at Level 15 and below
Presentation of the four Presidential Awards and 20 Meritorious Service
Awards takes place at a luncheon hosted by Duke President Richard Brodhead in
March or April 2005. The four Presidential Award winners receive $1,000 each. Meritorious Service Award winners receive $100 each.

Allen Building, by Friday, February 18, 2005. Nomination forms can be found
