Presidential Award Winners Announced
The winners of the Presidential Award for outstanding service were presented by President Nannerl O. Keohane at a luncheon today.
A winner is chosen from each of the four categories. The Presidential Award winners for this year are:
The Presidential Awards are the highest and most prestigious that Duke gives
to its staff. Since 1983, the awards have been presented annually to
recognize significant achievements that uphold Duke's guiding principles of
trustworthiness, respect, diversity, learning, and teamwork. "Although I wish that more than just a few could be honored in this way, it is inspiring to me and to the whole Duke community to recognize these colleagues for their outstanding contributions," Keohane said. "Even just to be nominated is a high honor. All the nominees are highly productive, greatly admired, and inspire the rest of us to emulate them in doing our best work."
In addition to the Presidential Award winners, five Meritorious Service Award winners are also chosen from each category. This year's
