Create Art from "Scrap" at AprilARTSFest
Duke faculty and staff and their families can create art April 8 when The Scrap Exchange of Durham trucks
all sorts of materials - foam, zippers, paper, fabric, nylon, buttons and more - to Quad P on West Campus. From
1 p.m. to 4 p.m., participants can pick out surplus industrial materials and convert them into a piece of artwork
to take home.
"It's a fun activity for parents and children to do together," said Sheila Kerrigan, a coordinator
for Duke Performances & the Office of Community Affairs.
The event is free and part of AprilARTSFest, which is
April 5 to 9 and highlights arts activity at Duke.
