Perform a variety of technical and administrative activities related to the establishment of quality assurance standards and measures; may include responsibility to develop and supervise a change system and standards to govern the movement of modules from test to production environment; conduct audits to monitor adherence to standards and perform system validation within the Information Technology section; may lead audits requested by sponsor or the Food and Drug Administration; respond to questions regarding system documentation and standards.
Perform a variety of technical and administrative activities related to the establishment of quality assurance standards and measures; may include responsibility to develop and supervise a change system and standards to govern the movement of modules from test to production environment; conduct audits to monitor adherence to standards and perform system validation within the Information Technology section; may lead audits requested by sponsor or the Food and Drug Administration; respond to questions regarding system documentation and standards.
Develop standards relating to application programming process which may include system documentation, naming conventions, security, backup and recovery of data; may assist in development of processes to coordinate change control program; may develop and supervise the maintenance of the code management system libraries. Assist Information Technology staff and departmental personnel in the development and enforcement of software development standards; provide technical leadership to staff regarding future applications, quality assurance and control practices, and Food and Drug Administration information technology guidelines.
Participate with vendors in the assessment of advanced application systems, application development tools, and database production systems.
Prepare reports and analysis, setting forth progress, adverse trends and appropriate recommendations or conclusions.
Provide technical direction to, instruct and coordinate the individual assignments of lower level information technology analysts. Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.

Education/Training: |
Work requires knowledge of computer systems usually acquired through a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration or a related field. |
Experience: |
Work requires two years of relevant experience in information technology; including experience in applying Food and Drug Administration guidelines, conducting compliance audits, system validation or change control. OR AN EQUIVALENT COMBINATION OF RELEVANT EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE |
