The Human Resource Information Center (HRIC) has taken significant steps toward streamlining HR
transaction processing while improving customer service. The Center's goals are to eliminate unnecessary
hand-offs and checks and balances - particularly for issues that relate to Benefits, Rewards and
Recognition and Recruitment; and to continue to standardize communications about Human Resources
policies and processes. The Center enables HR customers to obtain information and complete transactions
more quickly and efficiently with just one phone call or visit.
Mission Statement
The Human Resource Information Center (HRIC) will support the goals of Duke Human Resources
and the University Health System by providing excellent customer service with a sense of warmth,
friendliness and professionalism to the Duke community. This will be accomplished through a
centralized service center that provides answers to customer inquiries and processes
all human resource transactions on an accurate, complete and timely basis.
Our commitment is to consistently strive to improve our service levels by
partnering with our customers to develop innovative process
improvements and by continuing to develop our
knowledge and skills.
