Educational Assistance Certification Form
This information pertains only to Duke employees currently participating in a
degree program at Duke University under the Educational Assistance Program. This
program will end at the conclusion of the Spring 2009 semester. This program is
not open to new enrollees after December 31, 2006.
On March 3 & March 10, a
customized form was sent to the homes of current program participants for summer and fall
coursework. Please contact Alida Cockerham at 681-4617 if you do not receive your
customized form by March 31, 2008.
Note: The taxability of the benefit, as
defined by the Internal Revenue Code (IRC), is subject to change. Under current
IRC guidelines, the amount Duke contributes to an undergraduate degree is not
taxable and you can exclude up to $5,250 of qualified employer provided
educational assistance for a graduate degree.
