Why I Went to the Farmers Market
"I'm new at Duke, and had
heard that the farmer's market was having an Earth Day event. I work in the Bryan Research building over at the
University, so I invited my wife and kids to come meet me and walk over to the market. It was great. We learned about rain barrels and
composting with worms, saw all the vegetables for sale, and had some of the rice and beans from Nourish International for lunch. This week I
picked up great strawberries and shared them with my lab. They were really good, I'm glad I came."
