Run/Walk Club

Register now for the Duke Run/Walk Club and discover how just a few extra steps a week can enhance your overall health and wellbeing. This 12-week program of walking and running, which begins March 17, includes cardiovascular training for all fitness levels, from new exercisers to those training for 5k events.

 

The seventh annual LIVE FOR LIFE Family Fun Run had a fantastic turnout. As part of Duke Appreciation events, more than 300 people came out to the Al Buehler Trail with their family and friends on Saturday, May 17, 2008. View a Slideshow of the Event

Besides walking and running, participants also enjoyed live entertainment, magic tricks and face painting.

After the competitive 5k came to a close, all the children gathered together to race in the Toddler Trot and Baby Run.

The LIVE FOR LIFE team would like to thank all of our sponsors and volunteers for supporting the Family Fun Run and making the day a success! Nearly $400 was donated to the Duke Children's Hospital.

Awards are given to the top three male and top three female participants.

Cost: $2 donation per person to benefit Duke Children's Hospital (Please bring with you race day.)

Location: The field south of the Washington Duke Inn & Golf Club entrance off of NC 751. After parking, cross over NC 751 toward the Washington Duke Inn and take the Al Buehler trail to your left. Walk down to the open field, approximately 200 feet.
