Overcoming Discouragement

I hit a bit of a plateau this week. I didn't lose any weight! I realize that's not too unusual, but I was a little disappointed. However, I can tell there are changes going on in my body composition. I feel stronger and have more energy. People have actually started to comment that they can tell I have lost weight. So hopefully with the work I've put in this week, I'll see it reflected on the scale. I am trying not to focus too much on the weight loss, but more on how I feel. I discussed some things with nutritionist Kay and she made some suggestions about my diet that I will be implementing this week and so hopefully the weight loss will continue.

I learned a valuable lesson. I really did not want to work out with trainer Vicky this week. I had to drag myself to the gym and was just dreading the workout. But, guess what? I had the best workout with her to date!!! It was great. So, lesson learned. When you feel like you just can't do it and your motivation is just not there, go anyhow and you may surprise yourself like I did this week. Good things will happen and you'll feel good about yourself as well.
