Clerical
Office Assistant:
Prepare bulk mailings, provide clerical assistance, word processing
and data entry, receive incoming telephone calls and create graphic
designs and layouts. The skilled handling of day-to-day office
activities allows the staff to be more efficient in caring for
the Gardens.
Library Assistant:
Help maintain all records of the Duke Gardens horticultural library.
Cataloging, shelving, inventory, and data entry are key components
of this task. Help staff the library during open hours.
Receptionist:
Greet visitors to the Doris Duke Center for Duke Gardens and provide
general directions and information.
Plant Accessions Assistant:
Help maintain the plant accession data base, check and replace
broken or missing labels, create new labels and update existing
records.
