Dependent Care Reimbursement Account

How Can a Dependent Care Reimbursement Account Save Me Money?

  • Do you spend money on day care for your children under age 13?
  • Do you have children under age 13 (and both you and your spouse work, if you are married), who are enrolled in a before- or after-school program, summer day camp, or intersession day camp?
  • Do you spend money on adult day care for an elderly parent who lives with you and whom you claim as a dependent for income tax purposes?

If your answer to any of these questions is "yes", then you should consider participating in a Dependent Care Reimbursement Account. Please refer to the Dependent Care Reimbursement Account Worksheet to help you decide how much to contribute, or check WageWorks' online tool to help calculate the impact of participating in a Dependent Care Reimbursement Account.
