your family: Duke Select HMO, Duke Basic HMO, Blue Care HMO,
and Duke Options PPO.
Dental Insurance - Duke
offers a choice of Plan A or Plan B, depending on the level of coverage you and
your family may need. Both plans cover an array of preventive, basic, and major
services.
Health Care Reimbursement Account
- Duke's Health Care Reimbursement Account helps employees take advantage of tax
savings on eligible health care expenses.
Mental Health & Substance Abuse
Benefits - Duke offers both outpatient and inpatient mental health and
substance abuse benefits through either CIGNA Behavioral Health or Magellan
Behavioral Health (depending on the type of health care plan you chose).
Pharmacy Benefits - Duke offers pharmacy
benefits through Medco Health for all four Duke health plans.
LIVE FOR LIFE - Duke University's employee
health promotion program, LIVE FOR LIFE is a contracted service and available to
most Duke employees.
Duke Fitness
Club - Duke Fitness Club offers discounted memberships at fitness
facilities throughout the Triangle for individuals and families.
Personal Assistance Service (PAS) - Personal
Assistance Service is the faculty/employee assistance program of Duke
University. The staff of licensed professionals offer assessment, short-term
counseling, and referrals to help resolve a range of personal, work, and family
problems. Prospective
Health - Duke Prospective Health is a program offered to employees and
their families who participate in either Duke Select or Duke Basic health care
plans. The program takes advantage of emerging scientific fields and new
technology to identify an individual's risk for developing disease and helps
develop a plan to prevent them before they happen.
