Retirement Plans

Duke offers the Duke University Faculty and Staff Retirement Plan as a savings plan that both biweekly paid employees and monthly paid employees can contribute to on a pre-tax basis to save for retirement.  Biweekly paid employees are also eligible for the Employees' Retirement Plan (ERP), which is a pension plan paid for entirely by Duke. Eligible monthly paid employees may receive a contribution to the Duke University Faculty and Staff Retirement Plan.

Duke offers comprehensive disability insurance programs, including both an employer paid plan and voluntary employee paid programs. 

Life Insurance

Duke offers you a comprehensive life insurance program, including both employer paid plans and voluntary, employee paid programs from which you can choose to participate to supplement your insurance needs.

Long Term Care Insurance

Employees have the opportunity to purchase group long term care insurance. This insurance covers expenses incurred in skilled and intermediate nursing homes as well as home health care and adult day care expenses. A variety of daily and lifetime payment levels are available.

Property Insurance

Personal Casualty Insurance protects you in the event of an accident or natural disaster that damages personal property that you own, or against personal liability in the case of property damage or personal injury to another person as a result of your actions.
