Severe Weather Child Care
Managed by Bright Horizons Family Solutions
Duke University Health System offers the Severe Weather Child Care program to provide eligible staff with quality and convenient child care when Duke's Severe Weather & Emergency Conditions Policy is activated. The benefit will help eligible staff manage the demands of work and family during periods of severe weather when regular child care arrangements may not be available.
Severe Weather Child Care will only be available when Duke's Severe Weather & Emergency Conditions Policy is activated and is not determined by the closing of area school districts or child care centers. When the policy is activated, Severe Weather Child Care services will be available Monday - Friday from 6 a.m. - 7:30 p.m. at three locations:
- Duke University Hospital - Searle Center
- Duke Raleigh Hospital - Cafe
