2009 Plan Highlights

Did you know?

For the fourth straight year, Duke Basic's premium will not increase, and the premiums of our other health plans have increases that are significantly less than the national average.

 

• No increase in co-pays or deductibles for health, pharmacy, and vision benefits.
   
• Premiums for most full-time faculty and staff with individual health coverage will increase no more than $1.64/month, and no more than $9.76/month for families.
   
• Premiums for the Duke Basic Medical Plan, Vision Plan, and Dental Plan B will remain the same.
   
• Duke continues to offer the Health Care Card that pays for most eligible expenses at the point of the sale, using funds from your health care reimbursement account.
   
• Online enrollment will be offered through Duke@Work, the employee self service Web site.
