Professional Development Institute
The Professional Development Institute is a center dedicated to providing tailored development programs to foster career growth for targeted employee groups and to support Duke's staffing needs. Professional development specialists, working with recruiters in Human Resources, will train, develop and help staff who aspire to be promoted or to transfer to new opportunities.

Office Staff Development Program
The Office Staff Development Program focuses on developing the clerical office management skills and capabilities of Duke staff to help them qualify for a variety of career opportunities at Duke.
First Time Supervisor Program
The First Time Supervisors Program focuses on preparing qualified internal candidates for supervisory roles at Duke.
Recommended Reading
The recommended readings are resources to help employees learn how to take advantage of professional development opportunities within Duke University and Duke Health System.
