Wellness Programs
LIVE FOR LIFE

Get Moving Challenge
Duke encourages faculty and staff to get fit and healthy with the Get Moving Challenge, Duke's latest annual employee wellness competition. Individuals and teams of co-workers have the chance to inspire each other to achieve health goals.
DukeWell
DukeWell (formerly Duke Prospective Health), offered to those enrolled in Duke Select and Duke Basic health care plans, works with participants and their personal physicians to identify health risks they may face and help to prevent diseases and chronic conditions before they happen.
Duke Farmers Market
LIVE FOR LIFE sponsors the Duke Farmers Market on Fridays. Opening day for the 2012 market is April 27. Walk to the Market, buy lunch-to-go and whole grain baked goods. Purchase fresh fruits and vegetables from local farmers. Watch chefs from Duke Dining create tempting recipes and offer tasty treats. Several farmers sell fresh-cut flowers, herbs and plants.
Duke Mobile Farmers Market
Duke's Mobile Farmers Market is a convenient way to get fresh, local produce - and it isn't limited to vegetables. Sign up with farmers now for the Spring 2012 season which begins in April. This seasonal, year-round market offers flowers, plants, meat and fish in addition to traditional fruit and vegetable fare. Pre-purchase your orders from various vendors and pick them up weekly at Duke Gardens, Durham Regional Hospital, at specific work sites or arrange for at-home delivery. Several farmers also sell extra produce at tables so it is a mini-farmers market too!
Duke Fitness Club
The Duke Fitness Club includes a network of full-service fitness facilities in locations throughout North Carolina that offer Duke faculty, staff, retirees and their families discounted membership rates.
Duke Run/Walk Club
The Duke Run/Walk Club provides walking and running programs for all fitness levels. This 12-week program will help you improve your fitness level while having fun with your co-workers in a group setting. Independent participation options are also available.

It can aggravate existing medical conditions or create new ones. Family, finances and work issues usually top the list of causes of stress. It is important to find a healthy balance in your life. Learning how to manage your stress is your best method of treatment as well as prevention.
